Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the United States. After a brief stint as a fashion model before moving into acting when she appeared as a guest on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s as well as High Incident. Her first film part in the drama Nowhere. She made the transition to big roles through her appearances in American Beauty for which she received nominations for the BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained the attention of the world. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the title character on the screen in Sugar & Spice (2002). She also starred in Spun the drama by an independent company as well as the 2004 thriller, Trauma. The other films she appeared in include HBO's drama Six Feet Under. In 2008, Suvari was cast in a variety of films, like Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and also as the film adaption of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is a model in Lancome Paris Adaptive, and she's also been featured on a number of fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. Suvari is a strong supporter and advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation which is a well-known charity that offers assistance to the African continent.
